X Observatory
X Observatory is a Chrome extension for read-only X (Twitter) audience and content research. It helps marketers and researchers study public X accounts, followers and following relationships, search results, posts, and post participants — entirely locally, with no account login required inside the product.
What X Observatory does
X Observatory is a browser extension for the Chrome Web Store. After you install it and start an explicit collection task, it studies public X accounts, relationships, search results, posts, and post participants, keeps the resulting business data in your browser's IndexedDB, and lets you compare candidates through source coverage, relationship direction, intent signals, and explainable scores.
- Read-only. It never follows, likes, reposts, replies, or sends messages.
- Local-first. Raw business data is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
- Traceable. Missing coverage is shown as Unknown, never silently treated as zero.
Privacy
Read the full privacy policy on the Privacy Policy page. In short: collection data stays in your browser's IndexedDB; session credentials are never persisted; the service backend only validates your Google identity to issue short-lived tokens and never stores them.
